For some reason posts and replies keep disappearing now, nothing new in the world of Kinja.. but how come Gawker have not FIXED THIS SHIT yet?

I'm personally in favor of keeping Ernie, Ariel, Steve and everyone else at kinja tech employed, so if comments disappearing on a recurring basis is what it takes for that to happen, then so be it.
But seriously, sometimes I wonder how they don't end up throwing machines against walls on the regular. And I, too, wonder how come some problems seem more persistent than others.

Denton's biggest concern is that they have no way of pinning stories on the front page so that they stay there and they have not figured out how to fix that so what hope do we have that they'll fix commenting?

I really like the crew at Kinja Help, they are all super helpful, no complaints there at all. I've mostly been in contact with Ernie and Steve, but Ariel is really nice as well.
I have a feeling that the reason why stuff don't get fixed is because someone up at the top don't really care as long as the money from clickybaity stuff keeps rolling in.

Hehe, true.. I've got this feeling though.. Denton could give less than two fucks I guess as long as the money from clickeybaity stuff keeps rolling in.

Look on the bright side, they won't change to a new commenting system until it's fixed. As long as there's problems, we won't have to get used to a new layout, maybe.

That's a good thing I guess, I actually like this layout.

Kinja's tech team is seriously Kinja's biggest asset, if you ask me. Never interacted with a cooler, friendlier set of people (as far as technical issues/customer service type stuff is concerned. Even though we users aren't exactly "customers" in the traditional sense).

I know, I've had long "conversations" with both Steve and Ernie about how stuff works won't work in this and that browser and/or OS.
I used to work in customer support myself though, I guess that helps :P

if they fixed it , then we'd have less to post.
